Flew to Spokane, drove to San Diego.... Total travel time roughly 2.5 days including flying. Wow. Just wow. I told Jess, next road trip we are giving ourselves more than 2 days to do 22 hours of driving, as a rule.

Meatloaf concert was epic
So, the picture quality sucks because no cameras were allowed. Which when you consider pretty much every cell phone is now a camera makes little sense. Digressing.....
In any case, Mealoaf rocked it. The only downside is he played nothing off Bat out of hell II, so that made me a little sad. I can honestly say McHottness and I made out many a time to "I would do anything for love" when I was in 7th grade and I was feeling a tad nostalgic for that. But, he played tons of his older stuff, it was amazing and reminded me of dancing on the couch with my mom when I was 4. All in all a win.
My dear friend Jessica was my partner in crime last night. The best part of last night though, hands down, was the crazy drunken old people dancing in the aisles. I hope by the time I am that old, I have learned to dance quietly in my seat rather than look like I am having a seizure in front of thousands of people. I wish I could have gotten pictures, but as mentioned earlier, no cameras allowed. my phone doesn't do dark pictures very well....Bummer.

Zombie pony (WIP)
So, every year for the last I don't even know how many, McHottness manages to sneak a my little pony into the Toad's Christmas and birthday gifts. Sometimes it is stickers, sometimes an actual pony, sometimes just a eraser. In any case, it is a running white elephant joke between them.
Our house is also planning hard core for the zombie apocalypse. The Toad even has an arsenal of zombie killing tools, compliments of many a "Father/Son Home Depot run". Zombies are sort of a family thing with us. We plan for the end of the world, we enjoy zombie flicks on family movie night, good times are had by all.
For father's day this year the Toad managed to sneak a pony into his dad's gifts. His dad was proud. It was then decided that the fate of said pony was to become a zombie pony. I have been tasked with the transformation. This is in no way finished.... but here is what I have so far

Wire wrap beads and paperclay
Must stop playing with wire..... Apparently it borders on addiction now.
I am now officially in love with paperclay. It doesn't deform when I use molds because it dries in them, in sands like wood and takes paint like plaster. In short, the perfect thing for tons of stuff. Ditto for UTEE, now that I have the proper melting pot, none of the wait or smell from resin. Love.

A hole in the head... or two.
The Toad got his ears pierced today. His dad and I have agreed to a tongue ring at christmas if these are taken care of well....
He's such a stud muffin.
