Charms

Wire basket charm. Weaving metal was a bit of a pain, but it came out nice.
Various charms.
I bought a stash of thimbles, so I've been playing with them a lot lately. I love old sewing notions.

Shrines

The box started out as a pine trinket box from the dollar store. The doll is a from a mold I made of a froze charlotte doll. I found a great source for them, but I don't like to use the original antique ones n projects. So far the molded ones have worked great. I rusted this one. Behind the doll is burned satin and crushed velvet, as well as a scrap of antique lace I had lying around.
The key is also molded from an original. Nice keys aren't always easy to find so I try to make molds when I can. Some of the keys I have are too small, which is a bummer.
I stained and sealed the box, added the toggle to pull it open. It isn't finished yet... but it is almost there.

The Pretty Reckless, Hollywood Kills and Universal

I took the toad to his first concert this week. We both love the Pretty Reckless and they were playing in Hollywood, so it was a win win since we love Hollywood too. Luckily it was an all ages show at the House of Blues on Sunset.

The toad got band gear, of course. We stayed on the strip that night and went to Universal the next day since we were already in the neighborhood.

He got the CD's signed by the whole band.
We are in the back left side of the crowd.
